The long running saga of the Reed Employment case saw HMRC secure success at the Court of Appeal recently. Whilst the victory may now be moot as far as wider application is concerned due to the impending new expenses legislation being rolled out in 2016, it is still costing Reed Employment an eye-watering £158 million, and reinforces the need for clarity and transparency with HMRC in dispensation arrangements.
